Welcome to the PROVIDER pages on the Pennsylvania Health Law Project website. These pages were developed by a physician and attorneys at PHLP to help practitioners help patients.
This web site is designed to help practitioners help patients who are i) uninsured or ii) insured under Pennsylvania Medical Assistance (MA) (also known as Medicaid).
These practitioner pages contain three main sections:
- An overview of Medical Assistance and its many different programs with particular attention to the roles practitioners play in eligibility;
- an explanation of prescription benefits;
- and an explanation of the appeals process.
