How to Update Your Address and Phone Number with Medicaid
July 11, 2025 — Nothing is changing about Medicaid right now. Any changes resulting from the budget reconciliation bill passed on July 4th will happen over time. You can still apply for Medicaid, renew, and use your coverage as usual.
If you are on Medicaid now, be sure to update your contact info like mailing address and phone number with the County Assistance Office. This will help ensure you get important updates and renewal paperwork in the mail and by phone.
Here is how toupdate your information with Medicaid:
- ONLINE: Confirm and update your address through your COMPASS account at www.compass.state.pa.us, or you can do this in the myCOMPASS PA app (available for free from Google Play or the App Store)
-OR- - BY PHONE: Call the Statewide Customer Service Center at 1-877-395-8930. In Philadelphia, call 215-560-7226.

Looking for your Renewal Packet? LOOK FOR THE PINK ENVELOPE!
To make it easier to recognize the arrival of your benefit renewal packet in the mail, DHS has started using large pink envelopes to send out renewal packets. Watch for a large PINK envelope in the mail and submit your renewal online via COMPASS or to your local county assistance office by the due date listed on your packet.
DHS has also created a Renewal Contact Cheat Sheet that lists the communications and letters you should expect to get about your benefits; when they should arrive; and who to contact for help at each stage of the renewal process:
