Senior Medicare Patrol Services Still Available in PA

CARIE, the organization that operated Pennsylvania's Senior Medicare Patrol program, closed on November 26, 2025. Pennsylvania Medicare beneficiaries who need help with scams, fraud, abuse, or billing errors can now contact the national Senior Medicare Patrol at 1-877-808-2468.

Senior Medicare Patrol programs, funded by the Administration for Community Living, help Medicare beneficiaries protect themselves and resolve problems. Services they offer include:

• Education and outreach on recognizing healthcare fraud, abuse, and billing errors—and how to avoid becoming a victim of scams
• Assistance reviewing bills and comparing them to Medicare Summary Notices/Explanation of Benefits to identify discrepancies
• Support resolving billing disputes and understanding Medicare benefits
• Referrals to other agencies that can investigate and take action on reports of fraud and abuse
